FortisBC repaired the damaged gas line yesterday afternoon (March 20, 2018), stopping the leak. All buildings were deemed safe to return to after the line was repaired and the evacuation order was rescinded shortly after.
No further updates for this incident are expected.

A gas line was severed at a SilverStar Mountain Resort hotel. RCMP and a local fire crew have completed evacuating nearby residents and visitors as a precaution.
The SilverStar Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) was activated and Emergency Social Services (ESS) reception centres have been established and are receiving evacuees.
FortisBC is currently working on capping the severed gas line. SilverStar's EOC is developing a longer term plan for visitors and residents who will be without gas for an extended period of time.
An Environmental Emergency Response Officer with B.C. Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy is monitoring the situation.
