A multi-vehicle crash occurred earlier this morning on Highway 1 near Langley, B.C. The collision occurred in the westbound lane between 248 St and 264 St. The accident involved three semi trucks, one cube van and two passenger vehicles.
No hazardous material other than diesel and vehicle fluids were released. The volume of diesel and vehicle fluids released to the environment is unknown at this time. The release was confined to the accident scene which included the roadway and a dry ditch on the north side of the highway.
Vehicle removal occurred this afternoon and an environmental consultant was hired to conduct a site assessment. No environmental impacts have been noted at this time.
