  • Learn what the B.C. Lake Stewardship and Monitoring Program have been up to in the latest issue of The Lake Sampler.
  • Information on ice-on and ice-off dates is extremely valuable for climate change studies, and is also really useful to have when interpreting the seasonal data. To standardize the data and make it easier to submit, we have developed the B.C.   • A total of 59 lakes (65 sites) have been proposed for the 2022 lake monitoring season. View list of lakes.
  • March 9th, 2022: The Invasive Species Council of BC and British Columbia Lake Stewardship Society (BCLSS) invites you to join us for an aquatic invasive species webinar! This will cover aquatic invasive species, identification of high-risk species, best practices for prevention and how to report these aquatic invaders. Learn more at the BCLSS website.
  • Announcing proposed lakes to be monitored for the 2022 season. A total of 59 lakes (65 sites) have been proposed for the 2022 lake monitoring season. View list of lakes.
  • BC Lake Stewardship Society event: Get ready for the 2022 Secchi Dip-In! It’s time to prepare for another Secchi Dip-In!   • 2022 LakeKeepers manual now available on BCLSS. The LakeKeepers manual is a comprehensive guide to lake stewardship and ecology in British Columbia. Anyone concerned or even curious about our provincial lakes will find this manual useful and informative. It is an educational resource, lake monitoring training guide, and toolkit for developing successful community stewardship initiatives.
