Jennifer Carefoot BSc (Pharm)

Education: Jen earned her BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Alberta.

Work experience: Jen’s diverse pharmacy career includes experience as a consultant pharmacist conducting home visits and medication reviews for the geriatric population, as a pharmacy manager of compounding pharmacies and as a community pharmacist in rural Alberta. Prior to joining the PAD team, she was a clinical pharmacist in long-term care.  She is passionate about evidence-based medicine and reducing polypharmacy.

Academic detailing experience: Jen joined the PAD team in summer 2016 and has completed basic and advanced academic detailing training. She has also been a facilitator and moderator at academic detailing workshops.

Other: In her spare time, Jen enjoys running, travelling, gardening and spending time with her family outdoors and at the lake.
