Jessica is responsible for managing the delivery of public geoscience and mineral resource information. She leads the mineral resource team to approve and manage assessment reports, compile mineral occurrences, archive exploration technical documents, and update, integrate and improve mineral exploration and resource inventory data.

Expertise

Jessica joined the BCGS in 2015 as the Mineral and Coal Assessment Geoscientist and became the Senior Mineral Resource Geoscientist in 2023. Jessica provides guidance on the submission of mineral and coal technical assessment reports, maintains the ARIS, COALFILE, MINFILE, and Property File databases, and supervises the mineral resource information team. Jessica leads projects modernizing and enhancing the mineral resource datasets and web applications.

Previously, Jessica worked as an exploration geologist in the Canadian Cordillera. During this time, she completed her M.Sc. degree at UBC (MDRU) on the Red Chris porphyry Cu-Au deposit.
