Wearing a mask at B.C. Courthouses is a personal choice. Within a courtroom, masks are also a personal choice unless directed otherwise by the presiding judicial officer.
To reduce the need to physically attend the courthouse, the court registry accepts filings through Court Services Online, mail or fax.
The BC Centre for Disease Control website has information about COVID-19 symptoms, hand hygiene and other related topics.
The BCCDC Guidance for Courthouses during the COVID-19 Pandemic (PDF, 384KB) and the Provincial Health Officer Statement for Employers on Transitioning from COVID-19 Safety Plans to Communicable Disease Plans (PDF, 44KB) are available for review.
Consult the websites of the relevant court for updated directions and notices.
