A December 14, 2005 letter from the Solicitor General to all community organizations receiving gaming grants confirms government's support for, and commitment to, maintaining the current gaming grant programs. In the letter, government commits to stabilize and formalize the current overall funding levels.
The Solicitor General also advises community groups receiving grants under the bingo affiliation program that government will no longer be concerned with, or distinguish between, the source of such grants, whether the revenue is generated at bingo halls or from some other form of gaming.
