In June 2004, the Province initiated a Lower Mainland Casino Impact Study. This project tracks the impact of the introduction or relocation of casinos/slot machines on the social and economic circumstances of four Lower Mainland communities.
Today, the Province released the study's First Measures Report, which compares 2005/06 data with the baseline data gathered prior to and during the opening of new gaming venues in 2004/05.
