To address any concerns about the possibility of subliminal messaging in slot machine displays and other gaming software, the Branch has notified suppliers of electronic gaming equipment that they must confirm that no intentional subliminal advertising or messaging is present in the products they have supplied for use in British Columbia. In the future, the Branch will require this assurance in writing from all electronic gaming equipment certified for use in provincial gaming facilities.
