In June 2004, the Province initiated a Lower Mainland Casino Impact Study. This project tracked the impact of the introduction or relocation of casinos/slot machines on the social and economic circumstances of four Lower Mainland communities.
The Province has released the Final Report, which compares 2006 data with the baseline data gathered prior to and during the opening of new gaming venues in 2004.
