BC Public Service communications officers analyze, plan, develop, disseminate, explain and implement written and verbal content.

Their activities may include preparing responses to issues and inquiries, writing speeches, managing websites, writing news releases or marketing or informational materials.

Communications officers develop communications plans that identify who should be given specific information, when that information should be delivered and through what communication channels.
