This classification code is used for Public Service Act positions in one of the following situations:
- Employees in agencies, boards and commissions who fall within the Executive Compensation Plan and are considered equivalent to an Associate Deputy Minister, but aren't appointed by Order in Council as an Associate Deputy Minister.
- Employees who are temporarily acting on behalf of an Associate Deputy Minister, but aren't appointed by Order in Council as an Associate Deputy Minister.
- Associate Deputy Ministers who are on pre-retirement leave or severance and have had their Order in Council rescinded.
