Security services

Security services help keep British Columbians safe from harm. The province regulates and licenses security services industries to ensure they operate under the highest standards of conduct and accountability.

These industries include armoured vehicles, body armour, and businesses and individuals offering security services such as security guards, alarm installers and locksmiths.

Communication from Security Services will only be sent from a dedicated government email address, ending in “gov.bc.ca.” Security Services will never ask you to pay by email.  Applicants should only use the dedicated application and payment platforms for licensing found on this website.
