Report emergency flood works to Ministry of Forests staff in your region.
Certain emergency works may be completed by the Province, a municipality or a regional district without providing advance notice to a habitat officer. These include erosion or flood protection works required during a flood emergency (PDF, 1MB) declared under B.C.'s Emergency Program Act and works required to clear an obstruction from a bridge or culvert during a flood event when there exists a potential danger to life or property. These works, when undertaken by the Province, a municipality or a regional district must be reported to a habitat officer within 72 hours after making the change.
