The Government of British Columbia engages with neighbouring jurisdictions on transboundary issues of environmental concern.
B.C. has entered into agreements with several states including Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. These agreements recognize that environmental concerns and impacts do not respect geographical or political boundaries and that there are significant benefits to cooperation and collaboration on mutual environmental interests.
