The Prince George Small Streams Project is an experiment intended to address concerns about the size and effectiveness of riparian buffers in protecting fish habitat, particularly along small streams. Streams that are less than 1.5 metres wide are classified as Class S4 streams.
The study is implemented in the Prince George forest district. The first phase of the project lasted for five years, from 2002 to 2006.
