Overview:
- Approximately 2 million people have set up accounts and over 50 services use accept BC Services Card accounts (as of Nov 2022)
- It's recommended by the OCIO
- You can be confident the person is who they're claiming to be
- You can get a verified information about who the person is
- You can use for people representing a business
- You can use for people who work in or for the public sector (such as a health care professional)
Who it works for and what they need
People must either:
- Have a BC Services Card
or
- Live in Canada and have ID issued within Canada. As of Nov 2022, people no longer need a BC Services Card (physical card)
