External Security Services

The Cybersecurity and Digital Trust Branch of the OCIO offers free security services to public sector organisations as part of an ongoing trial.

If you are interested in receiving security services, download and fill-out the Onboarding Form and send it to OCIOSecurity@gov.bc.ca.

The following Security Services are available through this trial:

Emergency Notifications

Organizations will be contacted in the event of an emergency.

Awareness Program

Organizations will receive a file once a month containing key awareness materials such as a poster, quiz, text of varying lengths, or video.  Organizations may choose to use all, some, or none of the contents.

Vulnerability Notifications

Organizations will receive notifications about vulnerabilities that are identified in open domain.  Organizations will have an opportunity to determine whether the vulnerabilities are relevant to them.

Information Sharing Conference Calls

Organizations will receive an invitation to a conference call where information relating to events, incidents, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies will be presented.
