Home Sleep Apnea Testing

On January 1, 2022, British Columbia became the first Canadian province to allow qualifying standalone home sleep apnea testing facilities to bill the Medical Services Plan (Professional fee only) for the provision of Level III diagnostic sleep testing, also known as home sleep apnea testing (HSAT). This was one of several key outcomes from the Ministry’s detailed review of the service delivery environment for diagnostic sleep testing in British Columbia.
