BC Building Code 2024 revisions 

  • BCBC Revision 1 (PDF). Amendments to provisions for encapsulated mass timber construction to enable taller mass timber buildings, additional building occupancies, and changes to encapsulation requirements in Ministerial Order BC 2024 1 - effective date: April 10, 2024
    • BCBC EMTC code change convenience copy (PDF). Provides Code language in force. These changes will be consolidated into the BC Building Code 2024 in the near future.

  • BCBC Revision 2 (PDF) Amendments to add definition of "coordinating registered professional" and minor corrections to numbering and a referenced standard in Ministerial Order BA 2024 02 - effective date: May 24, 2024

  • BCBC Revision 3 (PDF). Amendment to adopt the 2016 edition of the CSA Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators in Ministerial Order BC 2019 3 - effective date: April 30, 2020
