BC Timber Sales - Business Area Environmental Management System (EMS) and Sustainable Forest Management (SFM)

BC Timber Sales licensees, permittees, forestry contractors and staff are guided by BCTS's province-wide environmental and sustainable forest management policies. Each timber sales office is responsible for the implementation of the BCTS EMS and SFM certification strategy.

Mandatory training

BCTS licensees, permittees, and contractors (LPCs) supervisors and workers must achieve and maintain training, as outlined in the LPC Training Matrix (Table 008-1) (PDF, 230KB). Training is required for employees, agents, and contractors working on the cutting authority, associated permit areas, or at the work site linked to the conditions of BCTS TSL and contract agreements.
