Storage Reservoir

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Act provides the authority to the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation to issue and administer subsurface storage reservoir licences for the purpose of storing or disposing of carbon dioxide from any source to advance carbon capture and storage projects in British Columbia, as well as other storage purposes. Below is a list and status of the storage reservoir licence applications.
