Harassment comes in many forms and it can be a crime. Criminal harassment includes repeatedly communicating with someone or engaging in threatening behaviour that makes that person fear for their safety or the safety of a family member. You might experience harassment by people in the community or by the accused or offender.
In cases where you are being harassed by an in-custody offender, it is important that you contact the correctional centre to have the contact stopped.
