The courtroom setup varies between courthouses. But you will always find the following:

  • Witness Stand - Where witnesses sit while giving evidence to the court. 
  • Judge’s Bench - The desk where the judge sits.  
  • Counsel’s Table - Where the lawyers usually sit. 
  • Jury Box - Where jury members sit. 
  • Gallery - Where the general public sits to listen to the trial.
