The Government of British Columbia works to increase access and participation in arts and culture activities through policy and program development, as well as funding support.

Co-developing a Repatriation and Rematriation Policy Framework as per the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act Action Plan.
Advancing cultural, strategic and corporate priorities such as provincial investments in the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Continuing to support the Arts Infrastructure Program to help communities build new cultural spaces and renovate existing ones.

PARC Campus, the Provincial Archives, Research and Collections building, is under construction on lək̓ʷəŋən Territory, in the area that is known today as Colwood B.C. The new 15,200 square-metre (163,611 square feet) collections and research building will be a state-of-the-art facility using mass timber construction, meet CleanBC energy efficiency standards and be LEED Gold certified.
