Tax appeal process

September 6, 2023

Bulletin CTB 003, Audits (PDF, 200KB), has been revised to clarify appeal information and update the mail and courier addresses for sending appeals.

July 26, 2023

FIN 87, Authorization – Appeal to Minister (PDF, 200KB), FIN 292, Notice of Arbitration (PDF, 270KB), and FIN 298, Appeal to Minister (PDF, 250KB), are revised to update the mailing address postal code.

Fuel tax refund for persons with disabilities

March 23, 2023

FIN 119, Registration - Fuel Tax Refund Program for Persons with Disabilities (PDF, 640KB), has been updated to remove (optional) from both the cell phone and email address boxes on the form.

Appendix 1 - Disability Assistance Confirmation (PDF, 580KB), has been updated to include a 'Full Legal Name' field in addition to the required signature. This form may be submitted as supporting documentation with the FIN 119, Registration - Fuel Tax Refund Program for Persons with Disabilities (PDF, 640KB).

The Fuel tax refund program for persons with disabilities webpage has been updated to include a statement that all supporting documents must be included to avoid delays in processing applications.

January 3, 2023

FIN 472, Application for Refund of Provincial Fuel Tax For Persons With Disabilities (PDF, 330KB) and the FIN 474, Application for Refund of Provincial Fuel Tax For Spouses of Persons With Disabilities (PDF, 390KB), have been updated to reflect the years you may be eligible to claim a refund.

Tobacco and fuel tax exemption simplification project

No updates in 2023.
