Review a driver medical fitness decision

You can request a review of a driver medical fitness decision that denied or cancelled your licence if your medical condition has changed or improved.

The information RoadSafetyBC needs to review its decision is in the letter we sent you. (If you want a restriction reviewed, see Driver medical fitness restrictions.)

There's no cost for the review.

If you are applying to review a licence cancellation, you must not drive while it's under review. Driving without a valid licence is illegal and could result in fines and other legal penalties.

RoadSafetyBC’s adjudicator or nurse case manager will consider any information you provide but it should include a current medical assessment.

We may ask for more information or a driving assessment to determine your fitness.
