The Highway 97A Enderby-Splatsin Transportation Study was completed in 2021. It examined the Highway 97A corridor from the Highway 97A/B junction to Stepney Cross Road, through the Enderby and Splatsin communities.
The study considers all modes of transportation, including safety and mobility for pedestrians and cyclists, and recommends potential short-term, medium-term, and long-term improvement strategies to meet transportation needs over a 5, 10, and 25-year horizon.

The study is examining the Highway 97A corridor through the City of Enderby and Splatsin IR#2 between Stepney Cross Road and the Highway 97A/97B junction.
Extensive engagement with interested parties was carried out to inform the planning process, including input from First Nations, local governments, the public, a Community Liaison Committee, and a Technical Advisory Committee.
Community Liaison Committee – comprised of local community and business interest groups, including representatives from Splatsin Development Corporation, first responders, North Okanagan Community Futures, Chamber of Commerce, Interior Health, BC Transit, and School District No. 83
Technical Advisory Committee – comprised of technical interest groups, including representatives from Splatsin, City of Enderby, Township of Spallumcheen, Regional District of Nort Okanagan, Columbia Shuswap Regional District, BC Hydro, and Fortis
On May 1, 2019 the ministry held a public workshop in Enderby to gather input on the future of the highway corridor.
On July 17, 2019 the ministry held a workshop with the Splatsin community to gather input on the future of the highway corridor.
On October 23, 2019 approximately 250 people attended an open house in Enderby.
