Information for families

Last updated on September 5, 2024

Families can renew, apply for and track their application for the Affordable Child Care Benefit using My Family Services. Please check the status of your application using My Family Services before calling the Child Care Service Centre.

Starting September 1, 2024, the Affordable Child Care Benefit will be available to families when their child care is arranged or recommended by an Indigenous authority. This means families will receive the same support with their child care costs, regardless of whether their child care is arranged or recommended by the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Indigenous Child and Family Service Agencies, or under Indigenous law.
