Disciplinary process for B.C.-certified teachers

A certificate holder who has breached professional standards may:

  • Be reprimanded or suspended
  • Have limits or conditions placed on their teaching certificate
  • Have their teaching certificate cancelled

The Commissioner reviews reports and complaints about the conduct or competence of educators and decides which process is appropriate to address a complaint or report.
