The BC Food Hub Network (the network) aims to foster growth and innovation in the processing sector through improved industry access to facilities, equipment, technology, technical services and business supports.

The BC Food Hub network:
Supports the Minister of Agriculture and Food’s commitment to expand the Grow BC, Feed BC and Buy BC programs to encourage greater food security and local business growth
Is comprised of fourteen regional food processing and innovation hubs (‘food hubs’) that work together to advance the agriculture, seafood, and commercial food processing sectors by providing shared-use kitchen and production space in urban and rural communities
Food hubs are commercial shared-use food and beverage processing facilities that provide access to commercial processing space, equipment, expertise, and resources to support business development and growth
Thirteen ministry-funded food hubs make up the BC Food Hub Network.
Over 3,300 food processing companies in B.C. produce value-added meat, seafood, dairy, fruit and vegetable products, wine, beer, soft drinks, sauces and condiments, functional foods and bakery items.
Food and beverage processing generated an estimated $14.2 billion in 2022, a 12.7% increase over 2021.
In 2022, B.C.'s food and beverage manufacturing industry provided 39,145 jobs.
15,840 farms in B.C. produce over 200 agricultural products.
