History of stand modelling research
Growth and yield research and modelling have been long-term government responsibilities since the early 1900s when forestry was British Columbia's main economic driver.
Ongoing areas of stand modelling research:
- B.C. Interior Stand Growth Response to Fertilization
- Simulating the Impact of Western Gall Rust on Lodgepole Pine Yields
- Shifting the focus from volume yield toward financial return and harvest timing (PDF, 6MB)
