Break and enter happens when someone enters your property (for example, your home or office), without permission, with the intention of committing a crime, often theft. Regardless of the value of property stolen or destroyed, break and enter is a serious offence. As a victim, break and enter can reduce your feelings of safety and security.
If you or someone you know is a victim of break and enter, help is available at your local police or VictimLinkBC. For more information, see If you are a Victim of Break and Enter by Victim Services and Crime Prevention (Ministry of Justice).
