1988 to 2002: Stave Lake sex offender program

In 1988, Stave Lake Correctional Centre initiated a program for sex offenders and became dedicated to the needs of this offender population.

As part of the significant restructuring of the Corrections Branch in the early 2000s, Stave Lake was closed in 2002.
