Chronic Wasting Disease update - July 3, 2024
Chronic Wasting Disease has been confirmed in B.C. in two deer samples from the Kootenay Region. As a result, submission for mandatory CWD testing is required for all deer, elk and moose harvested in management units 4-1 to 4-8 and 4-20 to 4-25 (PDF, 840KB) within one week of harvest as a condition of a hunting licence.

2024-26 Hunting and Trapping Regulations Synopsis is now available - June 27, 2024
The 2024-2026 Hunting & Trapping Regulations Synopsis is effective from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2026.
2024 Fall Limited Entry Hunting draw has been run - June 24, 2024
- You may check the results of the draw by signing in to WILD or by contacting FrontCounter BC.
- Limited entry hunting authorizations will not be mailed to successful applicants.
- You do not need to carry your limited entry hunting authorization while hunting.
- You are required to carry and complete upon harvest your Harvest Report for shared limited entry hunting which can be found at the bottom of your authorization.
If you were successful in receiving an authorization, you must read information for successful 2024 fall Limited Entry Hunting applicants for specific information regarding your hunt.
2024 Spring Skeena mountain sheep and Haida Gwaii black bear draw has now been run.
