Highway 1 - Chase West (Chase Creek Road to Chase West)

This Highway 1 four-laning project through the Village of Chase will improve safety and reliability for people travelling along this important corridor.
This section of the project involved the four-laning of Highway 1 on the western end of the Village of Chase, including:
3.3 km section widened to four lanes, median and roadside barrier
At-grade protected T-intersection at both Chase Creek Road and Shuswap Avenue
Grade separated pedestrian crossing and multi-use pathway to link Neskonlith Indian Reserve No. 2 and the Village of Chase
Cattle underpass to comply with Agricultural Land Commission requirements
Conversion of 1.5 km of existing highway to frontage road to consolidate access
