Traffic impacts
Drivers are reminded to drive for the conditions, observe construction-zone speed limits and follow the direction of traffic-control signs and personnel. Plan for delays along this route throughout the project:
- People travelling along the Fulford-Ganges Road should anticipate up to a 20-minute delay through the project site and are encouraged to plan ahead and avoid peak travel times to minimize delays.
- Single Lane Alternating Traffic (SLAT) is only permitted in active construction zone areas where the contractor is actively working.
- Posted speed will be reduced to 30km/h from 50 km/h during construction where the contractor is actively working
- Road closures are not permitted within 20 minutes of a ferry arrival at Fulford Harbour
- The contractor will comply with all the applicable bylaws of the Capital Regional District regarding hours of work
