The Alco-Sensor is an alcohol screening device approved for use by the Attorney General of Canada. Screening devices give police a reliable method for determining a person’s blood alcohol concentration.
The Certificate of Analysis records the dry gas lot numbers used on approved screening devices (ASD) in British Columbia. The lot number is on the Certificate of Qualified ASD Calibrator, which may be in the police disclosure on certain prohibition reviews. Qualified ASD calibrators use the gas to check or re-calibrated devices.
