Public and stakeholder engagement is an essential part of the Central Okanagan study.
Input from the community engagement activities will be considered, along with technical data, government priorities and other information in evaluating options to meet future transportation needs of the Central Okanagan.
The study looks at route options including preferred locations for an alternate lake crossing and potential timing for future project planning purposes.
Public open houses are held to inform the community and gather input for key milestones during the study, and feedback opportunities continue throughout the study.

Open houses were held in Lake Country, Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country during March 2017, accompanied by online consultation. These open houses sought public comment on preliminary corridor options identified by the study team. The options looked at existing and future conditions in each region.
Open houses were held on November 30 and December 1, 2015, accompanied by online consultation. These open houses sought public comment on future conditions of the corridor and the location of a possible future second crossing of Okanagan Lake.
