TELUS Communications Inc. (TELUS) has a ministry-approved plan for collecting, refurbishing for re-use, reselling, and recycling rental and retail modems, routers, set-top boxes, Digital Video Recorders (DVR), remotes, wireline phones, satellite receivers, and batteries used in these devices.
View the TELUS Return and Recycle Program website to see a complete list of what products are accepted by the programs.
By recycling your used and broken electronic ITT devices, you divert waste from your local landfills and help the environment. You also reduce the need for raw materials to manufacture new products.
You can find a list of participating locations that accept returned products at the following link:
TELUS offers collection by service technicians, and also has arrangements with FedEx and Canada Post, and offers prepaid waybill packages that are mailed to customers to enable them to return equipment via mail.
Equipment that can be refurbished within B.C. is done so and redistributed for use, or sold to other companies for use elsewhere. The remaining equipment is harvested for parts or recycled by authorized electronics recycling contractors.
Annual reports and EPR plans as provided to the Province are posted for convenience.
