Request information about government activities

You can ask for records that contain information about government activities. Some examples of records requested:

Specific policy decisions on a health care initiative
Decisions about particular road allowances
Money spent on addressing an environmental issue

Be specific about which records you want. Broad requests take a long time to process and may result in you being charged a processing fee.

Fees for requested records

There are 2 types of fees that may apply to general information requests: Application fees and processing fees.

There are no fees for personal information requests.

Application fees:

$10 application fee (non refundable)
Indigenous governing entities do not pay the application fee

Processing fees: There may also be processing fees for large or complex requests. You'll be notified if processing fees are required.
