A Person credential makes it safe and easy to prove things about yourself, like your name, age or address. You can use it online or in person.
Person credential is new. Today, it's only accepted by select pilot projects. Soon, we expect more services will start to accept it.
Your Person credential is based on information from your BC Services Card. It’s stored in the BC Wallet app on your smartphone or tablet.
It does not replace your BC Services Card, or the BC Services Card app.

Later, you will be able to use it more places.
You can use it online or in person. In both cases, you will get a request in BC Wallet to review. You will decide if you agree to share information from your credential or not.
Online
A website could request information from your Person credential. It will share some of your information to let you log in or complete an application form.
In person
Someone might request information from your Person credential to grant you access to a secure building, or to prove your name when receiving a delivery.
You can only add your Person credential to the BC Wallet app. BC Wallet was developed to meet our requirements for privacy, security and ease of use. Your Person credential cannot go in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Getting your Person credential, and using it, is optional. Most services provide other ways to prove your information. This includes in person, by mail, or other online options.
