New Service Requirements

 

 

Developing the requirements for the service you are onboarding can be a daunting task.  The TSMA Administrator's Office can assist you by providing advice through the process.  You should start by preparing the requirements spreadsheet.

What is the purpose of the requirements spreadsheet?

This spreadsheet assists the Province in developing the requirements, is responded to by the vendor, TELUS, outlining what they agree to and what they don't (those items which require further negotiations).  It also provides a format for the vendor to explain how they will meet the requirement, which the Province will then have to agree to or negotiate.  Legal Counsel will then use the “Requirements Document” to create the “Term Sheet” which the TSMA Administrator's Office presents to TELUS.  You may want to view a sample of the spreadsheet to see how this worked on another project.  while the spreadsheet is set up to show specific columns of information, feel free to add others if warranted.

TIP: If you are not sure what sort of topics should be reflected in the requirements document, review the "Schedules" page.  The list of schedules will give you the types of requirements you should be considering.

TIP: Where TELUS has an existing service offering, the Business Line should first review the features available through the existing service.  This should/could be considered a starting point for you.

What happens after the Province presents the Term Sheet to TELUS?

After presenting the Term Sheet to TELUS, the TELUS Team will review it and negotiate with the Province any aspects that are not in agreement.  Where negotiating is required, the Project Manager will bring the applicable subject matter experts and negotiators together.
