The objective of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Program (KTTP) is to increase the competitiveness, resiliency, and innovation of the provincial agriculture and food sector through facilitated knowledge and technology transfer.
KTTP is a cost-shared program designed to support B.C.’s producers and processors in adapting to changing environmental, production, and market conditions.
The program helps drive innovation and long-term behavior change to strengthen B.C.’s agriculture and food sector by funding events and activities that foster practical knowledge and skill development.
Organizations can receive up to 75% in cost shared funding for eligible activities, including expert-led sessions, hands-on training, and on-farm demonstrations.
For a successful application, organizations must show how the activities will transfer knowledge and/or build the skills of agriculture and seafood producers or processors with active operations in B.C.
Applications open on March 19, 2025 (first come, first served). The Program will remain open until funds are fully allocated. Activities must take place between April 16, 2025 – March 1, 2026.
Please see the Program Guide (PDF, 506 KB) for details on eligibility.

Childcare is an eligible expense as part of our support for more inclusive events. Refer the applicant to eligible activity costs section of the Program Guide (PDF, 506 KB).
An event series is eligible for funding. If approved, applicants can submit a single reimbursement claim for all eligible expenses incurred over the entire series, up to the maximum approved amount.
Each KTTP application allows only one reimbursement claim per project. Claims must be submitted once the project is complete (no later than 30 days after the last activity has taken place). Applicants should keep all proof of payment (receipts) related to their KTTP Project for seven years in case of audit.
The Fall 2024 intake is now closed. The final deadline to submit a reimbursement claim is Monday, March 10, 2025.
Please note that KTTP Projects will be considered cancelled if the claim is not received by the final deadline.
To ensure your claim is processed, please submit it through the same system used for your application.
To submit your claim:
For detailed instructions, refer to the “2024 KTTP How to submit your claim” PDF (746 KB). Receipts are not required with your claim, but please retain all proof of payment for 7 years in case of audit.
