Submit court documents and forms
Last updated on September 18, 2020You may need to submit (also referred to as “file”) court documents or court forms for your legal matter. Depending on the nature of your legal matter, they may need to be filed in person at a court registry. However, for certain matters, they can be faxed or submitted electronically using Court Services Online.
It’s up to you to make sure all the documents you submit are accurate and include all information required by the Court.
Registry staff can help check documents to make sure they contain the necessary basic information needed in order to be accepted for filing – this does not guarantee that the document complies with the requirements of court.
Registry staff cannot help complete your forms or give advice about legal problems – it’s best to check with a lawyer or legal professional for this kind of help.
Some organizations offer free legal advice in certain circumstances.
