Wildlife Roadkill Identification Guide (WRIG)

The Wildlife Roadkill Identification Guides provide species-specific information on “roadkilled” wildlife typically found on British Columbia highways to assist those identifying animal remains for Wildlife Accident Report System (WARS) reporting purposes.

  The smaller format guide provides a general description of the physical appearance, life stages, numerical abundance and geographic distribution of each animal. This updated guide organizes the wildlife into categories: large hooved animals; large fur-bearing animals; small fur-bearing animals.
