Established in 1977, Pacific Rim Shellfish D.B.A. The Lobster Man is a third-generation family business  that has grown into an established major exporter for live shellfish.

The company is active in a variety of international markets including China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the USA, and Europe.

Pacific Rim Shellfish works directly with fishermen, fishing boats and farms to source the finest-quality shellfish available. Registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Pacific Rim Shellfish works closely with the agency to ensure food safety by implementing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and quality management programs in their processing plant. Pacific Rim Shellfish is committed to supplying and sourcing sustainable products for the premium marketplace and is a proud partner of the Ocean Wise program.

The company offers a range of British Columbia’s most popular seafood exports, including: Pacific oysters, sea urchin, mussels, manila clams from Vancouver Island, Dungeness crab, geoduck and Pacific scallops from the Queen Charlotte Islands; as well as B.C. spot prawns.
