Project: Railway Crossing Information System (RCIS)

The Railway Crossing Information System was designed to address places where road and rail intersect, which were not addressed through the Roberts Bank Rail Corridor program, with the goal of enabling drivers to better utilize local roads and the network of road and rail overpasses.
The Roberts Bank Rail Corridor is a 70-kilometre track traversing Langley, Surrey and Delta, that connects Deltaport Terminal with the North American rail network. It is a critical east-west link for the movement of goods by rail to and from ports, terminals and other facilities through the West Coast and eastern destinations.
PBX Engineering Ltd. oversaw implementation of the Railway Crossing Information System that provides railway crossing arrival times for drivers.
PBX Engineering Ltd. was flexible and adjusted the project scope as required, providing support and solutions for challenges as they arose. PBX Engineering Ltd. has truly demonstrated what excellence means through the successful completion of the Railway Crossing Information System project.
Project: Highway 19 - Eve River Fish Habitat Off-setting Remediation Project
Location: Highway 19, west of Sayward on Vancouver Island
Assignment Contract Value: $400,000
The Eve River Fish Habitat Off-setting Remediation Project involved construction of fish habitat within an environmentally sensitive remote area. The ministry constructed 12 large debris structures to offset the impacts to fish habitats which had resulted from scour protection works.
Recreational fishing benefited immensely from this work constructed in this reach of the Eve River.
