Project: Lower Lynn Interchange Improvements

The Lower Lynn Interchange Improvements was a high-profile and complex project that required extensive third-party utility relocations and upgrades in densely populated residential areas surrounded by business stakeholders.
WSP Canada Inc. reconstructed the Keith Road and Mount Seymour Parkway Interchange, constructed a new westbound collector lanes system and rehabilitated existing Highway 1 Lynn Creek Bridge Steel Truss Bridge, one kilometre north of the Ironworker Memorial Bridge in North Vancouver.
WSP Canada Inc. did an excellent job monitoring the operation and safety of traffic management plans, the Highway 1 detour plan, temporary pedestrian and cycling connections, intersection operations and lane closures. Its team ensured the contractor managed work areas efficiently and safely and were responsive to complaints and stakeholders.
WSP Canada Inc. made cost-effective measures to protect trails and embankments from erosion and sediment from entering Keith Creek and Lynn Creek. Its team provided design and construction improvements for strategic landscaping, noise abatement, active transportation and drainage.

Project: Highway 3, Jaffray Westbound Passing Lane & Wildlife Tunnel
Location: Jaffray
Assignment Contract Value: $600,000
R.F. Binnie and Associates Ltd. supervised construction of the Jaffray Westbound Passing Lane and Wildlife Tunnel and administered the contract.
R.F. Binnie and Associates Ltd. constructed a tunnel, fencing and gate system by utilizing borrow material and scrappers on site. The consultant worked with the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and local ranchers to complete the project on schedule and will benefit highway users and wildlife for many years to come.
