Project: Highway 1 Keith Road and Mount Seymour Parkway Interchange and Lynn Creek Connectivity Improvements
Location: North Vancouver
Assignment Contract Value: $8.7 million
McElhanney Ltd. delivered designs for phases 2 and 4 of the Lower Lynn Improvement Project.
This complex project included a new Keith Road Underpass, two new Highway 1 Lynn Creek Bridges, realignment of Keith Road, two new Highway 1 westbound collector lanes, reconfiguration of the Keith Road and Mount Seymour Parkway intersection, active transportation facilities, relocation of a salmon bearing stream and utility relocations.
McElhanney Ltd. delivered a project that considered aesthetics, safety, connectivity, transit and parking accommodations. The teams' design balanced the budget with project objectives, safety and operational performance.
McElhanney Ltd. clearly defines excellence through their delivery of a quality project which resulted in improved traffic flow, connectivity and development in the Lower Lynn area.
Project: Highway 14 Parkinson Hill Slope Rehabilitation
Location: 6 kilometres east of Port Renfrew
Assignment Contract Value: $1 million
McElhanney Ltd. was retained for the design and tender to re-establish Highway 14 back to two-lanes. The work involved the design and tender of a wall and slope repair work, including the design of a temporary detour bridge in a remote area of Vancouver Island.
McElhanney Ltd. designed a solution for this constrained site area, located in a remote area of the province. McElhanney Ltd.’s high-quality designs resulted in the successful completion of the project, on budget and on time.
